If you are obtaining bonds the first time, it is important to have someone carefully walk you through the process. Bonds are unlike insurance and are more similar to applying for credit.
Projects over $500k will require additional underwriting, financials, and applications. They commonly take 5-15 days to set up for the first time, and would be part of opening a “Bond line” with a surety company.
